In october 1997 the Dutch Moebius Syndrome Foundation was started.

"The Foundation has committed itself to gather and spread information regarding the Moebius Syndrome, to promote the research on the appearances and causes of the Syndrome, to help the patients and their families, to promote the recognition and acknowledgement of the Syndrome. Furthermore; al there is in direct or indirect connection with this Syndrome."

The Foundation tries to reach her goals bij:

organizing lectures, symposia, workshops and such
spreading articles in national and international papers,
organizing meetings for patients and their families.
